Abstract: |
During April and May 2013 Foundations Archaeology undertook an archaeological watching brief during the groundworks associated with the alteration and extension to No. 33 Northbrook Street, Newbury. The groundworks did not penetrate through the Post-medieval/Modern make-up layers present within the footprint of the existing building and no contexts or artefactual materials clearly pre-dating the Post-medieval period were present within the watched areas. However, it is possible that Medieval deposits could be preserved at a greater depth within the study area. |
