Abstract: |
A full analysis of an excavation which identified the remains of part of Romano-British settlement with some evidence of earlier Iron Age occupation. The main settlement dated to the 2nd-4th centuries AD, comprising intercutting enclosure ditches, associated gullies, pits and postholes, probable foundations of stone buildings (4th century?), a silted-up watercourse and a burial. Further excavation has been conducted on the settlement, in the field to the south. |
