Abstract: |
There is a high potential for archaeological remains of prehistoric to medieval date to be located within the development area. The northern and north-western sections of the site are the most likely to encounter archaeological features of a prehistoric date, potentially from the Mesolithic through to the Iron Age. Roman features are potentially most likely to be encountered along the southern and northern portions of the site. Medieval remains are more likely to be located in the eastern and western portions of the site. Careful consideration should be given to the placement of the proposed track, avoiding the extreme northerly and southerly limits of the area |
