Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken at 12 St John Street, Oxford, during the construction of a rear extension. No significant archaeological features or deposits were encountered. A former cultivation soil, likely to pre-date the construction of 12 St John Street, was the most significant finding. This deposit was overlain by a thick garden soil, presumably associated with the construction and occupation of the current building. |
