Abstract: |
The results of the geophysical survey show the potential for the presence of ridge and furrow in the northern area of the site and a circular positive anomaly in the central area of the site. The latter circular feature could be a ditch surrounding a clump of woodland, a feature often encountered in post-medieval parkland settings. However, the anomaly corresponds with a circular mound and a more plausible interpretation is that this feature is a round barrow with surrounding ditch of Bronze Age date. |
