Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in August 2016 on land at Queen Victoria House, Redland Hill, Bristol. Two trenches were excavated. Evidence for extensive limestone quarrying dating to the post-medieval period was present across both trenches. No evidence for any activity pre-dating the post-medieval period was found and remains of the Roman road from Sea Mills to Bath, which was projected to cross the site, could not be identified in either trench. |
