Abstract: |
An archaeological Desk-based Assessment has been carried out at the Abundant Grace House Site, Lexden Road Track, Firle Road, Seaford, East Sussex, where it is proposed to develop the site. This desk-based assessment and Heritage Statement has established that there is evidence for activity from the Palaeolithic period through to the Post Medieval period in the wider surrounding area of the site. The map evidence has shown the more recent landscape in the immediate surroundings does not appear to have altered to any great extent over the last 300-400 years until the construction of Lexden House and the adjacent golf course in the early 20th century. |
