The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Fourteen timbers of Roman and medieval date were identified and examined dendrochronologically. The timbers were mostly oak, but one Roman sample was alder, and two medieval ones were beech. Most of the timbers had insufficient rings for dating purposes, although one of the medieval timbers produced a terminus post quem for felling of 1164.
