Abstract:		 The evaluation fieldwork comprised the excavation of 13 trenches, each measuring 50m in length and 1.8m in width, representing a 2% sample of the proposed 6ha development area, with 2ha of the site proposed to remain undeveloped. In March 2022, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation of land at South Churchdown, Gloucestershire. A total of thirteen trenches were excavated. Evidence of post-medieval and later agricultural practices, comprising ploughed-out ridge and furrow cultivation remains and field drains, were identified throughout the site, and former postmedieval/ modern field boundary ditches were also recorded.
