Abstract:		 The excavation revealed three north-south aligned ditches, probably all of prehistoric date, a curving ditch and a small number of other features more certainly of early/middle Anglo-Saxon date indicating occupation of this date. Finds were few but the Anglo-Saxon chronology is supported by a radiocarbon date.
