Abstract: |
Seventeen trenches were opened mechanically under archaeological supervision and potential features investigated by hand. Two pits and four ditches dating to the late Roman period were uncovered in the northern and north-western areas of the field. No features of archaeological interest were recorded in the rest of the field. Two of the linear anomalies detected by the geophysical survey were found to be modern. The third feature identified in the geophysical survey was not observed. |
