Abstract:		 In advance of the determination of a planning application for redevelopment of land at 74 Mill Lane, Greenfield, Bedfordshire, MK45 5DF, the Heritage Network was commissioned by Sherwood Architects on behalf of John Washington to undertake a programme of archaeological investigation. In line with the requirements of the Department of Communities and Local Government's National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and the Central Bedfordshire Council's (CBC) Validation Checklist, the applicant is required to submit a description of the significance of any heritage assets affected by the proposal, in the form of a Heritage Statement. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered during this work.
