Abstract: |
A relatively dense concentration of archaeological features was revealed, mostly shallow ditches on a shared ENE-WSW alignment, with two sets of curving gullies, and five pits. Very small quantities of pottery suggest several phases of occupation, with two gullies and two pits possibly being Iron Age, two gullies and one pit Saxon, one gully medieval and the remaining features all Roman. However, all the dating is very tentative. |
