Abstract: |
Fourteen trenches were opened mechanically under archaeological supervision and potential features excavated by hand. Fourteen trenches revealed only two ditches and a possible gully other possible features investigated being natural. A piece of modern glass was recovered from the ditch and
possible gully in trench 3, no finds were recovered from the shallow ditch in trench 13 and so the feature is undatable. A single tiny scrap of what might be Iron Age pottery was clearly
redeposited in a deposit overlying the modern ditch. |
