Abstract: |
Six boreholes were drilled and their cores extracted for examination. The underlying natural geology was observed directly below modern foundations or the make-up for the same. These negative results are of significance for failing to locate the line of the medieval town ditch. The site seems to have been subjected to 'cut and fill' to level it for the former supermarket. |
