Abstract: |
The archaeological evaluation involved the investigation of the bank by means of a large machine cut section (Section A) and the hand excavation of three test pits (Test Pits 1-3). Archaeological
features or finds were not observed to be present on site. The stratigraphic matrix of the site consisted of various naturally formed geological layers and others associated with its beck side
location and fluvial deposits. Disturbance presented as vegetational rooting and historic levelling.
