Abstract: |
The evaluation comprised twelve archaeological trial trenches, located in three
separate “reaches” of the park. The trenches were laid out to target key areas
associated with the proposed regeneration works and areas of potential archaeology identified by the desk based assessment. The only archaeological feature identified was a former hedge located within trench 1.1 which contained pottery dating from the 13th to 14th century and may have represented a former field boundary and drainage ditch.
The significance of potential impacts upon the known and potential archaeology is considered likely to be in the ranges negligible to low and low to medium. |
