Abstract:		 The scheme comprises of an archaeological watching brief on creating or enhancing flood walls, barriers which in one area link into the earthen rampart of the City Walls from Scarborough Bridge to Ouse Bridge, Right Bank. These works along Leeman Road/ Memorial Gardens are the first phase of these works. The groundwork's for construction of the flood embankment and flood wall to War Memorial Gardens will be subject to archaeological monitoring as deemed necessary by the response to an Operations Notice issued to York archaeological Trust and City of York Council.
