Abstract:		 This report presents the results of a geophysical survey that was carried out by South West Archaeology Ltd. (SWARCH) to assess the archaeological potential of Land South of Gorran School, Gorran Haven, St Gorran, Cornwall. The geophysical survey identified 13 groups of anomalies. The identified groups of anomalies include: undated ditches that may represent various previous field systems or enclosure systems; and probable historic Cornish hedgerows that appear on the historic mapping as field boundaries. The majority of the potential archaeological anomalies are undated, however their form and their location would suggest a field system that predates the tithe mapping layout. A further programme of archaeological mitigation, possibly in the form of targeted evaluation trenching, may serve to expand upon and to clarify the results of the geophysical survey and aid in determining the archaeological relevance of the identified features therein.
