Abstract:		 Archaeological evaluation (one trial-trench) carried out as per the conditions of the project brief and wsi. An archaeological evaluation (one trial-trench) was carried out at 1 Laurel Drive, Long Melford, Suffolk in advance of the construction of a new residential dwelling. Located on the eastern edge of the historic settlement of Long Melford, the evaluation revealed two pits/tree-throws. A Mesolithic or Neolithic flint flake and pieces of Roman CBM attest to activity in these periods.
