Abstract: |
Archaeological evaluation of the c.1ha site comprised the investigation of a single north/south aligned trench. The trench revealed two shallow rectilinear features likely associated with allotment gardens seen on the 1966-67 Ordnance Survey map. Finds were limited to a small number of early post-medieval tile and pottery fragments recovered from topsoil and colluvium deposits. No evidence of pre-modern activity beyond residual finds was encountered during the evaluation. |
