Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	Investigation of 44 trial trenches along the c.7km long x 20m wide water pipeline route, with watching brief on the topsoil strip of the site compound and on the topsoil strip and excavation of pipe trenches in two specific locations. The monitoring of the topsoil strip for the site compound and the topsoil strip and excavation of pipe trenches in two areas, encountered no archaeological deposits or features predating the modern period. Evaluation along the water pipeline route recorded a low density of ditches/gullies and pits of Early Iron Age, Late Iron Age/Early Roman and medieval/early post-medieval date, in 6 trenches.
