Abstract: |
GPR was carried out over the site of two possible stable blocks at Clarendon Palace. GPR survey identified strong responses likely to be a crossing wall within the 'great stable' with a substantial wall to the west likely to be associated with the palace perimeter wall. A formal track was also identified to the north of the 'great stable' and potential structural remains to the north of the 'old hall'. Possible stables in the south eastern part of the site were targeted and their layout was confirmed. Two possible ditch-like features appear to be associated and linear anomalies have been identified beneath the extant boundary bank. |
