Abstract:		 Trial trenching was undertaken after inconclusive geophysical survey. Adjacent site had previously produced Roman and possibly preshistoric remains, possibly representing Roman settlement and field system. Roman and undated features were identified, these primarily ditches. The majority of features were undated. A single worked flint of probable prehistoric date was retrieved. Various alignments of the ditches indicated several phases were represented.
