Abstract:		 Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd was appointed to carry out archaeological monitoring, at 48 Clifton Road, Winchester, Hampshire SO23 5BP. The Site is the subject of development including internal alterations and a single storey extension. The watching brief comprised the monitoring of the excavation of the trench for the footings and level reduction across the area of the extension. The work was undertaken between the 26th of April to the 10th of August 2022 The ground works revealed the eastern edge of a large ditch, believed to be the internal edge of the Iron Age enclosure ditch of Orams Arbour. This further informs the alignment of this section of the ditch. The 19th century garden wall is of limited archaeological significance.
