Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation (two-trial trenches) was carried out as specified in the project brief and WSI. An archaeological evaluation (two trial-trenches) was carried out Squirrels Croft, Bardfield End Green, Essex in advance of the construction of two new dwellings. Despite lying in the heart of the historic village of Bardfield End Green, no archaeological remains were encountered.
