Abstract: |
The watching brief comprised the observation by a competent archaeologist of all intrusive groundworks associated with the proposed development. These works comprised the mechanical and hand excavation of foundation pits and trenches for the new play equipment and a fence. In May 2020 Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological watching brief during groundworks associated with the installation of new play equipment in the existing playground of Paternoster School, Cirencester, Gloucestershire. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed and no artefactual material was recovered. |
