Abstract: |
Detailed magnetometry was carried out over 27ha within six fields using a hand-pushed, cart-based system of 5 sensors spaced 0.5m apart collecting data at 20Hz. The results indicate the presence of a number of enclosures and at least three ring ditches, two of which could be associated with prehistoric round houses, while the third could be consistent with a small enclosure or possible round barrow ditch. A small number of linear and rectilinear anomalies of archaeological potential have also been located near the northern, south western and north western peripheries of the site. |
