Abstract:		 An excavation of this site was conducted by John Moore Heritage Services during June 2006, expanding upon previous work conducted in 2002. This excavation revealed early Saxon religious activity in the form of two circular post built shrines, with possibly associated domestic activity, a middle Saxon period settlement of sunken feature buildings and post built structures, with activity lasting into the 11th century in the area.
