Abstract: |
Four evaluation trenches 22.5m long by 1.65m wide were excavated across the proposed site of the housing development. Trench 1 reached a maximum depth of 0.6m. Trenches 2 and 3 reached a maximum depth of 0.62m. Trench 4 reached a maximum depth of 0.54m The evaluation aimed to identify the presence or absence of archaeological remains as well as to establish the significance of any archaeological remains present. No archaeological features or finds were identified during the course of the excavation of trenches suggesting an absence of archaeological activity in the immediate area of the site. |
