An Early Bronze Age round barrow was excavated in 2005 in advance of a quarry extension. The ring ditch enclosed an area 26m in diameter, but all traces of a former mound had been lost to later cultivation. Towards the centre of the barrow were three small pits. One contained an almost complete cremation burial of an adult, mixed with other pyre debris that had been hot and smouldering when deposited. The burial was accompanied by a miniature cup, and oak sapwood charcoal from the pyre has been radiocarbon dated to 1940-1770 cal BC (68% confidence). A nearby pit contained parts of two collared urns. Another pit contained a smaller deposit of cremated bone from a child aged 8-13 years, and some pyre debris. The primary ditch fills contained much limestone, suggesting that the barrow mound had been at least capped with limestone. Most sections show a dark secondary soil horizon, probably a buried turf line. The homogeneous upper fill contained a little Bronze Age pottery, a length of a human femur probably from a disturbed inhumation burial, and pottery no later than the Iron Age.

Northamptonshire Archaeology carried out an assessment of the south wing at Burley on the Hill House, Burley, Rutland to record the wing as it is now prior to any work being carried out. The house was built c 1700 by Daniel Finch second Earl of Nottingham, replacing an earlier house which was destroyed during the Civil War. The house was built in brick and faced with stone. Two-thirds of the house was damaged by fire in 1908, after which it underwent restoration. The study area comprised the interior of the south wing of a Grade I listed mansion house which was converted into flats in 1992.

An auger survey was carried out on the islands in the lake adjacent to Beckett's Park, Northampton. The results of the auger survey, combined with map evidence, show that the lake was created as a boating lake, sometime between 1901 and 1927, and that the islands are largely undisturbed remnants of the original floodplain deposits. Boreholes on the south-east and north-west banks of the lake indicate made-ground and disturbance in these areas, with alluvial deposits surviving beneath.

Northamptonshire Archaeology undertook a detailed magnetometer survey of c 5ha of land at Langlands Farm, near Willand, Devon in June 2012. The work was undertaken in advance of a proposed solar park. The survey identified a prehistoric ring ditch, other possibly associated features and a series of infilled ditches, many relating to former post-medieval field boundaries..

A gradiometer survey was carried out on the close to the Roman town. Settlement remains comprising of ditches, tracks, ovens, roundhouses, rectangular buildings and pits were identified. An area of undated quarry activity was also identified. [Au(abr)]

Northamptonshire Archaeology conducted a geophysical survey, on behalf of The Guildhouse Consultancy, on land with an area of approximately 7ha at Bouchiers Hall Farm, Essex. The survey revealed discrete positive rectilinear anomalies which could not be clearly characterised and could be archaeological, geological, agricultural or a combination of the three possibilities.

Geophysical gradiometer survey was undertaken by Northamptonshire Archaeology in two areas at Hungerford Park, Hungerford, Berkshire. The survey revealed a single pit in the southern area and possible demolition rubble in the northern area.

Northamptonshire Archaeology conducted a geophysical survey, on behalf of Taylor Woodrow Developments, on land with an area of approximately 5 ha at Yaxley, Peterborough. The survey revealed evidence of sub-rectangular ditched enclosures as well as further ditches and probable pits.
