Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Overview

Cressing Temple

The dataset comprises the Essex HLC report in 4 volumes, a short report, and GIS shapefiles of the HLC types and the wider HLC Areas.

In Essex, desk-based research using modern and historic mapping sources was carried out to identify and map the historic character of the landscape through the application of defined Historic Landscape Character types. This provides a complete coverage of the county with information on current and past landscape origins.
