In November 2016 an archaeological evaluation was carried out at Kintyre, Trowley Bottom, Flamstead, Hertfordshire during the redevelopment on the site, which comprised the demolition of the existing dwelling and outbuildings and their replacement with a single dwelling, replacement ancillary buildings and landscaping. The trenches revealed that the site had been truncated in the footprint of the previous 20th century house, whist away from this area the undisturbed site stratigraphy was observed consisting of topsoil, subsoil and natural geology. Aside from a modern gully thought to have been associated with the previous house on the site, no archaeological finds, features or deposits were observed.
