Abstract:		 During September 2007 Archaeological Services and Consultancy Ltd conducted a watching brief along the route of a reinforcement water main between Cold Higham and Litchborough. This work was commissioned by BSP Associates Ltd on behalf of Anglian Water Services Ltd (AWSL) in order for AWSL to fulfil their statutory environmental obligations. No archaeological features were observed within the pipeline easement, but cropmark evidence for ridge and furrow pre-dating the current field system was noted to the north east of Dalscote.
