Abstract: |
A singe evaluation trench was excavated across the footprint of a proposed dwelling close to Marsh House, Burgh by Sands, Cumbria. It was thought the line of the vallum associated with Hadrian's Wall ran E-W across this area. The 13 m N-S aligned evaluation trench failed to find any evidenceof this. No features or artefacts of archaeological significance were found during these works |
