Abstract: |
Archaeological Research Services Ltd were commissioned to undertake an archaeological desk-based assessment of the proposed development of Brierley Hall and the surrounding grounds into houses, situated at Brierley, Barnsley. The village of Brierley is thought to have Medieval origins and some remains dating to this perios have been found close to the development site. The Grade II listed Brierley Hall was found to be in a poor state of repair internally. |
