Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology during groundworks associated with the extension of the current property at Lucombe House, Condicote, Gloucestershire. Evidence for limestone quarrying, probably commencing in the medieval period, was observed in the western half of the site. Along with significant modern landscaping, this quarrying is likely to have removed, if at all present, any earlier archaeological deposits associated with the adjacent henge monument. |
