Abstract:		 In April 2010 Archaeological Solutions (AS) carried an archaeological evaluation of land to the rear of Marigolds, 64 High Street, Old Harlow, Essex (NGR TL 4745 1159). The evaluation was commissioned by Mr Stephen Levy of EXE Property Developments, and was undertaken in compliance with a planning condition attached to planning approval for the construction of a single detached dwelling in the rear (southern) garden area. The site lies on the southern side of the High Street, Old Harlow, within the Old Harlow Conservation Area. It comprises a large 18th century Grade II listed house fronting the street and a large back garden where the new development is proposed. The site had a potential for medieval and post-medieval remains. In the event the evaluation revealed no archaeological features or finds.
