Abstract: |
A pan kiln chimney was examined in September 2012 to provide an archive record prior to its planned demolition. The site owners consider that the chimney is in a dangerous state and, being next to a public footpath, should be demolished for safety reasons. The chimney belongs to a pan kiln at Molinnis, constructed by c.1900. The kiln and linhay were demolished at some time before c1970 but the chimney and most of the settling tanks survive at a very overgrown site. |
