Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during the installation of a new electricity double pole as part of the overhead line replacement project between Peterhead and St Fergus. The pole was located within metres of the Ugie river, with the possibility that it may have revealed details of the extent of the late 18th century Ugie Canal in this locality; a section of which is known to exist less than a km to the NE. No evidence of canal working was visible. |
