Abstract: |
No pre-modern archaeological features were encountered. Late 19th- and 20th-century building foundations corresponding to buildings shown on Ordnance Survey maps were recorded. Underlying deep alluvial deposits appear to represent overbank flooding, with evidence of organic preservation, but date no earlier than the 17th century, probably not earlier than the 18th. There was no evidence of palaeochannels or water management features. |
