Abstract:		 In July 2013 Archaeological Solutions Ltd (AS) carried out a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording at Rokeby Hall, Horham Road, Wilby, Suffolk (NGR TM 242 707). The monitoring took place during groundworks for a proposed extension and a replacement garage at the property. The project was commissioned by Rokeby and Ryder Developments Ltd on behalf of Mr and Mrs Norris, to comply with a condition attached to planning consent (Mid Suffolk Council Planning Ref. 1331/12). The site lies a short distance to the west-north-west of a medieval green (Wilby Green). Fieldwalking at Wilby Green has revealed scatters of medieval pottery (HER WBY 008). There are also a number of medieval moated sites in the parish. Rokeby Old Hall itself is Grade II listed building, dating from the 15th century with 16th-17th century and later additions. In the event the monitoring encountered no archaeological features or finds.
