Abstract: |
In March and April 2016 KDK Archaeology Ltd undertook a programme of Observation and Recording of the Land adjacent to 4 Coopers Close, Biddenham, Bedfordshire in advance of the development of a new detached dwelling and detached garage. Biddenham is an area of archaeological sensitivity and previous investigation has uncovered evidence for Saxo-Norman occupation within the village, and the plot itself is at the centre of the medieval village. This exercise, however, did not uncover any evidence for medieval settlement on the development site. Instead, the northwest area seemed to have been used as a dumping site for modern debris. |
