Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 3 hectares of scrubland at Bottles Farm, Belper, Derbyshire. A weak anomaly in the south eastern field is the only feature of possible archaeological origin, and ridge and furrow is present across the site. The remaining anomalies are all of modern origin, including a buried service, a strong anomaly of unknown origin, land drains, agricultural activity, scattered magnetic debris and magnetic disturbance associated with nearby metallic objects. |
