Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation consisting of three trenches was undertaken. Undisturbed natural deposits were not encountered at a depth of 1.40m below ground level and no evidence was recovered for Roman-British or medieval deposits. Two fragments of undated stone wall were recorded below a series of 18th century surfaces, dumps and tipping layers. Later activity consisted of a 19th century stone wall, brick walls and levelling deposits. [Au(adp)] |
