Abstract:
An evaluation of the structure known as the Lambert Tomb, built against the north wall of St. Michaels Church was carried out. This revealed part of a brick vaulted structure capped with clay and sealed beneath a soil mound. The southern end of this structure, where it butted against the church wall, had stone retaining walls and was covered in stone slabs. The central slab had a date of 1764. The tomb appeared to have been of a single period of construction. [Au(abr)]
