Abstract: |
monitoring of a service trench for a cable duct revealed a hard surface at a depth of 0.6m below the present ground level. It was constructed of a pale mortar, almost chalky, with small brick fragments, pebbles, some large and was c.3m in width and 7cm to 10cm thick. Interpreted as a floor related to a previously unknown structure. Cut by a large concrete block, dating to c. 1900, to which a radio mast was anchored. |
