Abstract: |
The project comprises an Archaeological Watching Brief conducted during groundworks for construction of residential units on Land to the south of the Plough Inn, Town Street, Sandiacre, in December 2014 and reporting on the same. The watching brief was deemed necessary to establish whether any archaeological remains pertaining to the early development of Sandiacre were present on the site. During the course of the watching brief, mortared brick foundations, probably for late-Victorian buildings, were uncovered and recorded. |
