Abstract: |
Allen Archaeology Limited was commissioned by Niven Architects to undertake an archaeological evaluation by trial trenching on land at St. Bede's Catholic Voluntary Academy in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. The works were located within the school playing field running parallel with Collum Avenue. A desk-based assessment, and subsequent evaluation trenching, had shown little archaeological activity within the site area. The watching brief failed to identify any archaeologically significant remains, exposing only a sequence of modern levelling layers. |
