Abstract: |
In May 2011 a targeted historic building survey was undertaken by NPS Archaeology of a barn at East Week Farm, South Tawton, Devon. The building was first built in the late medieval period, and then modified significantly in the 17th century. The survey was targeted at specific structures and features within the barn to provide details on their condition and significance to inform plans for the redevelopment of the building. The survey concentrated on the cross passage screens, the staircase, a first floor window and areas of what appeared to be original cobbled floor. |
